Logic Makes Us Think, but Emotion Makes Us Act

When a team is under pressure or lagging behind, I see leaders fall into two communication traps:
The Pressure Cooker: Negatively tinted, high-stress demands.
The Robot: Overly rational, "Excel-sheet" logic that ignores the human element.
Science tells us that no decision is purely rational. We need our emotional brain to commit to a path. If you want to course-correct underperformance or shift a culture, logic isn't enough.
Why does storytelling win?
Just look at your feed. A carefully reflected technical post often gets less traction than a raw, personal story. Why? Because as humans, we are wired to connect through feeling, not just facts.
To lead effectively, we must bridge the gap between the hard figures and the human spirit.
The leadership challenge: How are you organising your "regular interactions" to go beyond the data? How are you putting a storyline behind the hard facts to actually move your people?
